APIM 11-014: ARINC Standard on Guidance for Uniform Acceptance Procedures (pdf, 27K)
The intent of this working group is to produce an ARINC Standard that provides guidance to the flight simulation industry for acceptance of a full flight simulator. The standard will chronologically illustrate the best practices of an acceptance to ensure the safety, efficiency, and satisfy the expectations of both a training device manufacturer and a simulator purchaser. Additional considerations that apply throughout a simulator purchase will be documented as well.
The working group objectives include:
- Highlight the importance of diligence during procurement process
- Develop a guidance document of procedures for an efficient chronological acceptance
- Highlight additional considerations that improve efficiency in an acceptance
- Provide a high-level overview of regulatory concerns during a simulator purchase through RFT
